LASER LIPOLYSIS
This is an evidence-based technique, approved by the US FDA
Through a small canula, an optic fiber conducts the Laser beam (usually Nd:YAG Laser) into the fat tissues. Adipocytes (fat cells) are
destroyed and digested by the body. All procedures are performed under local tumescent anesthesia. Results appear progressively in
the following months. Localized fatty areas - such as knees, chin, abdomen - are the best indications.
Risks of burning and infection are very rare.
This procedure is performed in our Laser Clinic.
The following studies on Laser Lipolysis are available for consultation:
Histologic evaluation of the pulsed Nd:YAG Laser for Laser lipolysis - K Ichikawa, M Miyasaka, R Tanaka, R Tanino, K Mizukami, M Wakaki
Analysis of Laser lipolysis effects on human tissue samples obtained from liposuction - AZ Badin, LB Gondek, MJ Garcia, LC Valle, FB Flizikowski, L De Noronha
Laser lipolysis using a novel 1064 nm Nd:YAG Laser - KH Kim, RG Geronemus
